ARMY STRONG?

“The world needs to go to war every once in a while, if only to teach you Americans a little geography,” - an officer in the Royal Commandos.

Iraqis enjoy new sports

Iraqis are enjoying new sports, thanks to the U.S. Army.

Baghdad residents recently awoke to Operations Baghdad Bowl which seeks to bring peace through American-style football...with a twist.

In this new operation, Baghdadis learn to duck and roll an armored soldiers charge through their residential neighborhoods. These soldiers are always looking for the "ball" but never finding it. Iraqis learn to block doors as they are kicked in.

The daily explosions of IEDs and mortars only adds to the excitement as Baghdad children, mothers and fathers rush towards the "goal of freedom". The 3rd Infantry Division has even been handing out uniforms for the "players" that are rounded up at the end of the day and taken to nearby prisons for rest.

And, while these bowl games are for fun only the score shows that a renegade team of insurgents and Iraqi freedom fighters seems to be winning. Just Kidding
